It was another amazing day of chasing historical trains. I know my dad and grandpa were looking down on me. I met so many wonderful people with their families. It made me stop and think that despite what the news potrays, we are a divided nation, which is not a true narrative. Do we have our differences? Yes. As human beings, we are not confided to a one size fits all. While talking with the people that I met, we have many common threads. Ensuring a good life for ourselves and our families. A safe community, being able to respectfully speak our minds without condemnation. A good educational system and values that sustain the next generation.

Sometimes, it seems like a Utopian dream to strive for these values. I say let’s go for it, maybe we can be the change that we all seek.
