Biography:

Mary Anne Abdo is an author, poet, photographer, and an artist. She graduated magna cum laude from Luzerne County Community College with a degree in Human Services. She is the owner of Blue Stained Glass Poetry and Art. She is the self-published author of, Fractured Lollipop Poems of Brokenness Healing and Hope, Droplets of Crystal Poetry for the Soul. Her children’s book, Pumpkin The Cat Who Plays With Words, all three books are on Amazon. She has been featured in many print and on-line anthologies. She is 2022-second place winner with her photography and essay for Mary’s Garden. She is a 2023 semi-finalist for the Bermuda Triangle Poetry Award and a 2025 first place award winner for the Bermuda Triangle Poetry Award.

She on the board of directors for the Friends of the Scranton Public Library and a member of the Pennsylvania Poetry Society. Her poetry has been archived through Bindweed Magazine in the National Library of Ireland. All of her books have been archived in the Pennsylvania state poetry collection in Harrisburg. Her second children’s book is due out in September of 2026.
