The Big Boy train #4014 has arrived in Pennsylvania. This historic train is the world’s large working steam locomotive in the world. It’s has traveled all over the United States for the 250th founding of our nation. My husband took this video since the train tracks are about 100 yards away from our home in West Scranton. It will journey tomorrow from Nesquehoning PA through Pittston and back to Steamtown National Park in Scranton until July 1st. There will be opportunities for tours alongside Steamtown’s own Big Boy train. Unfortunately, our train is no longer operational, but nevertheless, this is a historic occasion for our area and our country.
Wow! I’ve never seen an engine pulling so many carriages before, I lost count! What a fabulous sight.
