Sawgrass plumes,
are entertaining a new era of winter.
Clouded dark palettes.
Slivers of golden rays are rising,
just above the eastern mountain
rim.
Words of morning greetings—
Flash within my heart.
Feathery clouds are forming.
North, South, East, and West.
Small feathers; posted messages and photos.
Wispy feathers; college photos of you and Ken.
Rainbows in clouds; family photos—
Of happiness and pride.
Misshapen feathers; seasonal lake photos.
Angels wings; giving us words to ponder.
Peering over this heavenly site.
Billions of angels welcoming,
you back home.
Giving us your final message,
a story in the clouds.

In honor of a dearly beloved mentor and friend.
Morning star (Isa 9:2)
At dawn, pray for God’s light to shine in a place
or situation breaking your heart.
This is taken from a daily reading for Thursday December 21,
the day after Kate’s passing. How poignant a message for
the first day of winter. I felt this was her last earthly message and her
first heavenly message to me. https://weeklyprompts.com/2023/12/23/weekly-prompts-weekend–challenge-shine/
