Evening Christmas Red

A Lovely Evening in Downtown Scranton

Last night was a wonderful evening in my hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Downtown was bustling with live theater performances courtesy of the Scranton Shakes actors. Families sharing fresh popcorn, assorted roasted nuts, coffee, hot chocolate, and Italian pastries. Listening to Christmas music around the courthouse, and shopping for that unique holiday gift. Finding photo opportunities in the mundane and yet the most extraordinary places around the city. We are truly blessed in this area with wonderful architecture that reflect the European style. The Scranton Public Library is fashioned after the Cluny Museum in Paris. The Electric City sign, is ironic to our area and it was created to commemorate Scranton as the first city in America to be come electrified in 1880. Our Scranton Times tower reminds me of the Eiffel Tower with her spire reaching towards the sky. I am looking forward to capturing every angle of the tower illuminating Christmas’ wondrous spirit. https://weeklyprompts.com/2023/12/02/weekly-prompts-colour-challenge-red/
