Kilmore Quay (A Tribute to Alice)

A perfect day to set my feet upon Irish graveled roads.

Nature’s fury called last night.

As to remind us she runs along the tailspins of the vast Irish Sea.

Alice showing me new found sites of fishermen feeding the dolphins.

While seals with their tonal honks and short barks.

Beg for more scraps of the daily catch.

Peering out over the water dance surrounding incoming trawlers.

Breathing in the salt of the sea.

We stand on the rocky shores.

As waves are gently rolling past our feet.

Hearing the faint sounds of colorful puffins.

Flying to their Saltee Island sanctuary.

Walk my dear, walk.

And discover the wild beauty of Eirinn’s Isle.

For her memories will remain deep within the fires of your soul.
