Political Contentious

May was a lovely month, spring flowers were at their peak and Mother’s day was a passing recollection.

And so was the election season, so we thought.

Henceforth not even one week after that Election Day.

The maddening June bombardment of random phone calls, emails, commericals, and political junk in our mailboxes resurfaced.

It is now one week until this never ending bombardment of our psyche, will come to a conclusion.

The berating by each and every candidate on both sides is beyond repulsive.

Citizens are at the point of no longer caring about this dreadful nightmare.

Driving past from summer to autumn’s glory.

Seeing the sights of political flowers.

Small multi-colored ad along the streets and parks.

Planted to grab your attention.

                              Vote for me.

                                Vote for me.

                                  Vote for me.

How about all of these political donations that turn to rubbish on November 9th?

Extoling your virtues of being environmentally friendly.

Maybe these signs are biodegradable.

I think not.

Extoling your virtues of being straight forward, while working for every citizen.

I think not…

Yet again, extoling your virtues while submitting us to random, mindless political advertisements.

For shame…

Well I guess we the people can expect a two-month reprieve.

Only to hear loudspeakers herald again for the 2024 Presidential election.
