Words that are jumping through my head
Find their way on to the lined page.
Containing views beckoned from a single pane of glass.
I seek beauty.
I find beauty with cardinals, sparrows and turtledoves.
Eagles and Red Tailed Hawks are soaring across rectangle scenes.
I peer out to see views of amber sunrises and golden sunsets.
Inter changing from spring, summer, autumn and winter.
Spring’s flowering splendor.
Summer’s shooting stars that encircle around the moon,
Autumn’s colorized falling leaves.
Winter’s first dancing snowflakes hitting the glass.
Hearing sounds of train locomotives rolling down the tracks.
Cars and motorcycles buzzing on the central expressway.
Sometimes I hear and see nothing from my room with a view.
Sometimes the flurry of activity is my muse.
As words and stories come to life.
Just like the red cardinal perching on my windowsill.
