Autumn Freedom

Autumn is my favorite time of the year. In the northeast section of the US, it is stunning with nature ‘s array of colors.  My husband had to work overnight this evening, and cooking for one was not a great option.  I decided to get a grap-and-go turkey sandwich and drove down to the Parker Street Park. It is located by the Lackawanna River, surrounded by trees that are as old as the United States. Steeped in Lenape folklore and colonial history.  It was so peaceful eating my supper, thinking that by some chance, I could be eating in the spot as our Native American brothers and sisters had done so many years ago.

Nature has the most calming effect on us, mentally, physically, and spiritually. We sorely need this in the world we live in. It is just you, and no words are needed.
