So you want to write poetry or try a new hobby. Why not at any age, go for your dreams. Take that leap of faith in yourself.

These past few years have been many ups and downs for me. If it wasn’t for mentors along the path of life, I believe I would have permanently lost myself. Mentors who coaxed me to try new ways of expressing myself creatively. From one zoom class to the next, it was a virtually step out of my comfort zone. Passed the fear of, “I can’t do that or I am not good enough. ” That is far from the truth. We are made more in this life than self fear and doubting ourselves. Is it easy? Not always. I always told our children, “You can do anything you want to, as long as put aside your doubts and go for it.”

So as I turn in for the night, I am contemplating what tomorrow holds in my life’s journey. A trip that in many ways could change my life from a closet writer to published poet. With so many more thoughts and plans as I move ahead. This my first blog post on my new site; Blue Stained Glass. I hope you enjoy the positivity of my content which includes art, photography and of course poetry.
